Where your data lives
On Muse Secure VM, a dedicated computer in Meta’s cloud that holds the agent and your data.
On the server you run (API, task worker and browser worker), plus your CopilotKit Intelligence project.
Getting started
—
Difficulty: Advanced No installer, app-store listing or hosted version: you run it from a terminal with Node.js and pnpm, and building the phone apps needs Xcode or Android tools.
Hosted version
—
NoneThere is no hosted version. The README offers a “Deploy to Render” button, which runs it on your own Render account.

Our take
For developers who like the idea of Muse but want the code and the data under their own control. It is a template, not a ready-made app.
Best for
Developers who like to tinker
People comfortable with Node.js who want a personal agent they can inspect and extend.
Check first
Not a Muse copy
CopilotKit does not call it a Muse alternative; it is alpha and needs a CopilotKit Intelligence key.
